AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY PRODUCT DESIGNER - MECHANICAL
Responsibilities:
Desigining automotive safety products. Provide technical expertise for all design activities in the engineering department. Working in an international team. Design products with one of the CAD software systems (CATIA V4, CATIA V5, UGNX2 (Unigraphics), or IDEAS). Manage data and assemblies within different software systems. Prepare various translations of data. Apply GD&T as required. Create design/packaging studies. Discusions with customers and suppliers in attendance of Application Engineers and purchasing department as a technical consultant.
We looking for entusiastic and open-mind Mechanical Engineer with:
- working exerience with CAD system(eg.CATIA, Unigraphics, IDEAS..) (essential)
- language ability to comunicate easily in English or/and German (essential)
- experience in automotive industry (recomended).
MODELING AND SIMULATION POSITION
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for structural analysis in the engineering department. Modeling of components and sub-systems of occupant restraint systems. Definition of load cases and model iteractions based on physical boundary conditions. Validation of simulation models in comparison with test results.
REQUIREMENTS:
-degree in mechanical, aerospace or relevant engineering;
-solid technical background especially in the field of Strength of materials;
-good at exact sciences esp. mathematics, physics;
-working experience in Finite Element Method and / or Finite Volume Method;
-at least basic software skills in using UNIX system commands, FEM engineering applications: Abaqus, Adina, Ansys, Diana, Hypermesh, MSC Mentat/Marc, MSC Patran/Nastran, LS-Dyna;
-working experience in one of the above engineering applications and / or in one of the solid modeling applications will be a plus;
-advanced software skills in using WindowsXP and office applications including MsOffice;
-fast-learning capabilities;
-analytic mind, accurate, systematic and self-reliant;
-ability to think creatively and to formulate comprehensive conclusions;
-willingness and ability to work in a team;
ANALYSIS ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
Perform statistical dimensional analysis. Communicate simulation results to design group, manufacturing group and quality control group Validate analysis results using production data as soon as they are available. Work with supplier quality group to obtain supplier process capabilities data. Perform project planning and scheduling of analysis projects. Complete documentation for the analysis results. Interaction with product design engineers, manufacturing engineers, designers, quality assurance group and production plant personnel to obtain necessary information to perform the analysis and to convey the results back to the group
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- one to three years experience with statistical dimensional analysis using Monte Carlo simulation method
- experience in tolerances stack analysis
- working knowledge of reading blue prints, assembly drawings and GD&T
- good understanding of differences manufacturing and assembly drawings process
- good programming skill in basic, Fortan or C Language
- good communication skills
- experience in tool and fixture design, working knowledge in quality control and statistics in a plus
- communicative English skills
AUTOMOTIVE EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis of customer requirements and documentation for the project. Creation of own design documentation for software modules being responsible for. Working with project team members on best solutions and software architectures. Following TRW’s defined software process, working with tools supporting software development (e.g. change request database, configuration management system). Developing of code for microcontrollers (8, 16 or 32-bits) for assigned software functions. Preliminary verification of developed software on initial ECU (Electronic Control Unit) prototypes
REQUIREMENTS:
- degree in software, electronics, computer science or electrical engineering,
- experience in developing embedded software for microcontrollers, understanding of microcontrollers architecture,
- knowledge of C language as well as basics of assembler for microcontrollers,
- good understanding of electronic circuits,
- communicative English skills (very good in reading of technical specifications),
- knowledge of software development process according to specific quality requirements (e.g. CMM/CMMI, SPICE) is an advantage,
- knowledge of development products for automotive industry is an advantage,
